Following are the resources currently available at CTSF. These are continuously upgraded to address the requirements as they emerge.

Software Resources

1. Operating System
The Operating System of PARAM Padma is AIX 5L which supports multithreading and multiprocessing. This system V-style Unix provides a familiar development environment to the users. An optional Linux operating system is also provided.

The following compilers and related tools are available on PARAM Padma:

  • XL Fortran compiler and RTE 8.1
  • F90 Compiler
  • F77 Compiler
  • C Compiler 6.0, C for AIX
  • C++ Compiler, Visualage C
  • CAF90 Compiler - Parallel Fortran Compiler jointly developed by C-DAC and Apogee
  • C-F77to90 - A Converter for Fortran77 to Fortran90 programs developed by C-DAC
  • Complete gcc & gnu libtools

  • Message Passing Interface (MPI) - IBM PE (Parallel Environment)
  • MPICH 13 - Public domain MPI, MPICH 1.2.4 for XL & gcc, g77
