Digital Library Application Suite (DLAS)

C-DAC's Digital Library Group has designed and developed a comprehensive tool kit called the Digital Library Application Suite (DLAS) to integrate, manage and distribute digital content. The DLAS conceives digital data in the form of text, images, audio & video and nurtures it as a consortium for managing and distributing digital content.

A tool to preserve images by digitization, entering metadata, storing them on the database and also integrate, index and categorize contents of various digital formats (PDF files, Doc files, HTML files, PPT files, XLS files, Audio files, Video files, Images).

The DLAS will enable the library to maintain continuous access to digital material regardless of the origin for future generation of users. The functional area of DLAS will include creating libraries, modifying the existing library, customization of metadata at category level and node level, a search facility as per the keywords specified by the user for image, audio and video files, and cataloging.
