The Philosophy
The Betatesting Group, C-DAC, Pune are being involved in test, certify, and performance of Application and System Benchmarks of PARAM Series. Also, the group initiated technology workshops on performance aspects of programming on emerging Parallel Processing & Grid Computing platforms. The group conduced technology workshops GRIPSI-2007, ProMCore 2008, and PEEP-2008 in collaboration with leading academic institutions and premier research and development organizations.
The Betatesting Group seeks to enhance the knowledge quotient of members through training on technically advanced concepts and techniques related to Parallel Processing, and Grid Computing, and other emerging areas of Information Technology.

The Group has identified
several areas of state-of-the-art techniques that are
based on research and industry requirements, which need
to be addressed and ensure that C-DAC continues to produce
outstanding IT professionals to meet the target deliverables.
The Betatesting Group in collaboration with other members
of C-DAC and external experts will provide inputs on
global technology trends, deliver technical lectures
that will focus on the macro view of the current technology
trends, skill set requirements in the IT industry and
hands-on.
The key objective of the Tech.Trng.Prog. is to help develop outstanding C-DAC IT professionals
who are in touch with the latest technology areas, and
are equipped with excellent problem solving skills by
collaborating with the various institutions in India.
To achieve objectives, the focus on core area like Grid
Computing Technology (Grid Programming) and Programming
on Multi Core Processors has been identified. The
other areas of impetus to C-DAC's R&D programme
and the IT industry will be taken up in collaboration
with C-DAC Centres.
The group initiated technology workshops with leading academic institutions and premier Research and Development Organizations since last long time. The technology workshops served as a forum to build foundation to solve practical application problems on emerging High Performance computing and Grid computing platforms. The venues of the last technology workshop were aimed to provide stimulating discussions and highlight the performance issues of applications. The earlier technology workshops have a history of attracting participation from reputed researchers from all over the India.
