COURSE FOCUS

The importance of Software Engineering Process has been increasing in the IT industry to implement the standards to provide quality of service to the customer. In an effort to share the extensive knowledge acquired through Software engineering process and research and development in eLearning technologies, C-DAC, Hyderabad and ICS have jointly initiated the CCSPM Course.

As part of the course, the "Software Development Methodologies" module discusses the developments and quality assurance activities, which are the core of the software process. The "Software Project Management" modules emphasis efficient project planning activities, effort estimation and people management to achieve the targets of the project. The key focus of "Software Quality Management" modules is on developing systems that help organizations to deliver quality products and services through quality system standards.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The Core Competency in Software Process Management is a self-paced learning programme offered in an eLearning mode through the Internet. The course consists of four modules that will be covered in three months and the student will be evaluated based on his/her performance in assignments and tests conducted during the course.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Aspiring candidates can register online at www.elearn.cdac.in from March 15, 2003. A Demand Draft of Rs. 4,000 (Rupees four thousand only) drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of C-DAC payable at Hyderabad and the certificates in support of academic qualifications and IT experience/skills have to be sent to the following address within 20 days of registration. Applicants are also requested to send their photograph and a copy of the submitted registration form (online).

eLEARNING ACTIVITIES AT C-DAC, HYDERABAD

Recognizing the immense potential of the eLearning technologies C-DAC, Hyderabad has initiated a series of constructive steps to promote and develop this promising technology. C-DAC is currently developing specific functionalities of a Learning Management System, which is being funded by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY). C-DAC Hyderabad has also conducted various workshops in eLearning. C-DAC Hyderabad had also organized a National seminar on eLearning and eLearning technologies (ELELTECH INDIA-2001) in August 2001. CCSPM is being launched through SIKSHAK, the eLearning framework developed as part of the DeitY supported R&D carried out by
C-DAC, Hyderabad.

ABOUT ICS

INNOVATION COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS LIMITED established in 1988 is a technology driven organization with focus on telecommunications, data communications and Computer Telephony Integration.
