College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) is one of the oldest institutions in the country, completing 155 years of existence since 1854. It has consistently maintained its tradition of excellence in the field of technical education and recently granted full autonomy by University of Pune and Govt. of Maharashtra. The Institute has also been selected as Lead Institute for the TEQUIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Program) of Govt. of India. The Institute offers Under-Graduate Programs in 9 disciplines and Post-Graduate Programs in 18 specializations. It is a premier centre of University of Pune for Doctoral Program. The Institute aims to become Deemed University in the near future.
Teaching of Under-Graduate course in Computer Engineering & Information Technology and Post-Graduate course in Computer Engineering is the prime feature of the department.
C-DAC is an autonomous Scientific Society under the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India. Set up over a decade ago, as India's national initiative for design, development and delivery of high performance computing systems and solutions based on parallel processing technology, C-DAC has over the years diversified its activities, transferring the expertise acquired and technologies developed in high-end computing to develop and deploy advanced Information Technology (IT) based solutions in the key sectors of economy.
Thematic R&D areas of C-DAC are High Performance Computing & Grid Computing, Multilingual Computing & Heritage Computing, Professional Electronics including VLSI & Embedded Systems, Software Technologies, including FOSS, Cyber Security & Cyber Forensics and Health Informatics.
C-DAC embarked on its recent mission & completed the 54 TF Super Computer PARAM Yuva, using indigenous PARAMNet III technologies & software & tools. It ranked 68 in the World's Top 500 list in Nov 2008. It supports research in various application domains such as weather forecasting, drug design, molecular modeling, remote sensing, etc.
HPC Solutions Group at C-DAC addresses the key sectors such as Government, Scientific Research and Academia and is well known for providing consistent & scalable solutions in HPC. At HPCS, we are committed to improve the scientific capabilities of users by providing end to end solutions in supercomputing and allied technologies.
