The CSI-Nihilent Awards
for eGovernance have been instituted to acknowledge innovative
and effective application of Information Technology in every
sphere of governance. The awards applaud and honor the efforts
made towards development and implementation of indigenously
developed practices and software for effective eGovernance.
The initiative of launching the eGovernance awards was taken
by the Computer Society of India (CSI)
in the year 1999. Since then CSI has been successfully organizing
the eGovernance Awards. CSI and Nihilent Technologies forged
an alliance for the first time in September 2002 to institute
the 'CSI-Nihilent eGovernance Awards 2002'. Encouraged by
the success of this experience, the two organizations have
continued their association to take the eGovernance awards
forward.
The details of the National
Awards ceremony will be intimated by the Computer Society
of India (CSI) at a later date.
