A workshop, on the usage of PHOENICS was organized by C-DAC at Pune from May 14-18, 2001 for the Premier Institutes where PARAM 10000 has been installed and the usage of PHOENICS on the parallel system has been opted for. Research scientists of the Premier Institutes and representatives of organizations interested in using PHOENICS attended the Workshop. The Workshop was conducted by Prof. Sukhanto Dash, of the Mechanical Engineering Department, IIT Kharagpur, and was supported by the C-DAC team.

Researchers at the Premier Institutes and industry will use this package to evaluate their results, which will be further, refined by using the PARAM 10000 and implementing innovative numerical techniques.

PHOENICS is a general-purpose software developed and marketed by CHAM Ltd., U.K. and is technically represented by C-DAC in India.
