C-DAC collaborates with several research organizations and industries to develop software using the PARAM series of computing systems, in order to augment the capabilities of research scientists to tackle issues of national importance.

The Institute of Computer Aided Design (ICAD), Moscow is one of the active users of PARAM system.

The workshops were held to review the progress of the research activities initiated on the, PARAM 10000, which was installed at the Russian Indian Centre for Advanced Computing Research (RICCR), Moscow in May 2000. The project sponsored by the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India involves exchange visits of the scientists between Russia and India. Conforming to this arrangement a Russian team of five scientist's lead by Dr. Yu. D. Shevelev and including Dr. V.L. Sakharao, Dr. V.G. Gromov, Dr. V.N. Glukhov and Dr. M.N.
