   C-DAC to celebrate National Technology Day

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) will celebrate the 4th National Technology Day on May 11, 2002 by displaying its diverse technologies, particularly those of interest to people at large.

C-DAC's National PARAM Supercomputing Facility (NPSF) will be open to visitors between 10.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon and 4.00 p.m. - 6.00 p.m. on May 11, 2002. Visitors will also be able to catch a glimpse of the various technological initiatives taken by C-DAC over the years. C-DAC will also showcase the continuing developments in its path breaking PARAM series of Supercomputers and GIST language technologies.

According to Shri. R.K. Arora, Executive Director, C-DAC "C-DAC identifies with and supports the National Technology Day initiative.
C-DAC's objective behind the enterprise is to encourage an interest in society towards the phenomenal developments in computing technology and its applications".

C-DAC has been at the forefront in propagating the use and importance of technology amongst the public and has taken the lead in organizing programs on a number of occasions.
