Centre for Development
of Advanced Computing (C-DAC),
a national initiative to develop supercomputing technology
and Oracle (India), Indian subsidiary of Oracle Corporation,
USA, jointly announced, here, the formation of strategic
alliance between the two to provide state-of-the-art
solutions on Business Computing Applications deploying
advanced computing technologies such as Data

Solutions will be setup at C-DAC, Pune.
C-DAC is a System Integration

developing and delivering total solutions using Data
Warehousing technology, especially in the areas of Banking,
Capital Markets, Electronic
Governance etc., exploiting its expertise in high

a link between business strategies and information technology.
C-DAC is planning to
grow in this key area commercializing its proven technology
for addressing problems of large organizations in the
country. This agreement will enable both the organizations

C-DAC's popular multilingual technology, will be incorporated
in the Network Computers developed by Oracle's Network
Designing Centre. This will enable the Network Computers
to be used as low cost front-end for mass use of Multilingual
Information technology Applications in the newly emerging
Electronic Governance models. These multilingual enabled
Network Computers are expected to be launched in September
1998.
