The Centre for Development
of Advanced Computing (C-DAC)
has announced that it will be launching a new range
of products and software covering diverse areas including
health, language learning and the Sanskrit authoring
tool on the occasion of its 14th foundation day scheduled
on March 26.
The integrated telemedicine
solution called Mercury, Web
Lila (Learning Indian Languages through Artificial
Intelligence) Beta version and the Sanskrit authoring
tool Vyasa will be formally launched on the foundation
day. Mercury is an integrated telemedicine solution
which helps physicians to consolidate the patient's
electronic medical record (EMR) rapidly and also provides
sophisticated tele-consultation tools with integrated
videoconferencing facilities. Mercury helps maximize
the utilization of precious resources like bandwidth
and the specialist time, keeping the operating costs
low.
Web Lila is the web version
of Lila Hindi, a comprehensive software that facilitates
learning the language on the Net, more systematically
and with ease at the click of a mouse. This has been
made possible through such contemporary technologies
as audio/video streaming on broad band and interactive
on-line tutoring simulating a virtual classroom. C-DAC's
Vyasa has a large database / content of all fourteen
Vidyasthanas and provides on-line readers for Bhagwad
Gita, Vishnusahasra Nama.
