C-DAC participated in ELITEX 2001, the mega IT exhibition hosted by the Department of Information Technology, Government of India in New Delhi on Feb 5 and 6, 2001.

On display was a suite of multilingual solutions developed for the web. These included - ISM2000, iplugin, GIST Software Development Kit (SDK), dynamic fonts, DVD MPEG III based video products and newsroom automation products. C-DAC's expertise in eGovernance were showcased through the applications developed for the Governments of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and so on.

On the occasion, Hon'ble Minister of Communications and Information Technology Shri. Pramod Mahajan released a CD of the 'eIndex to EIP' compiled by the technical library of C-DAC which contains all the volumes of the monthly journal 'Electronics: Information and Planning' since October 1973. This journal, presently in its 28th volume is published by the Department of Information Technology (Erstwhile Department of Electronics).

Mr. Rajendra Pawar, Chairman NIIT released the latest issue of 'C-DAC Connect, the House Magazine of C-DAC on the occasion.

The exhibition was well attended and visitors to the C-DAC stall evinced a keen interest in the products on display.
