   C-DAC's R.K. Arora given additional charge as Director, NCST

Shri. R.K. Arora, Executive Director, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) has been given additional charge as Director, NCST (National Centre for Software Technology) by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India.top

NCST, an R&D institution in software technology operates as a Centre for Excellence in software technology and computer science. NCST's R&D activities are in the domain of Intelligent Computing, Visual Computing, Internet Technology, Data and Knowledge Engineering and Localization. The NCST is also involved in the development of a Resource Centre for Online Learning and a Software Engineering Resource Laboratory. NCST offers a full-time postgraduate program in Advanced Software Technology as well.

As Executive Director of C-DAC, Shri. Arora leads a high profile team of professionals in areas as diverse as High Performance Parallel Computing, Multilingual Technologies and IT Education and Training. Under his leadership, C-DAC has made forays into offering software solutions and technologies for the business, health and economic sectors, amongst others and has emerged as a leading provider of eGovernance solutions to a number of State Governments.
