A Solaris System Administration workshop was conducted by C-DAC from August 22 - 25, 2000. Eighteen Professional System Administrators representing Software Development firms, Internet Solution Providers, Academia and Third Party Service Providers participated in the workshop. The workshop conducted hands on sessions covering hardware like Solaris Machines including Sun Enterprise - 450, Sun Enterprise - 250, Sun Ultra - 10, Sun Super Sparc - 20 & Intel platforms.

An eGroup called C-DACSol on the net for the participants of the earlier five workshops is being planned shortly, to facilitate knowledge sharing and addressing technical problems.

Based on the feedback received, an Advanced System Administration workshop is being planned.
