India is all set to join the 'teraflop' league of nations with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) having completed the development of PARAM Padma, a supercomputer which will perform one trillion calculations per second. "We have completed development work on PARAM Padma, which is more powerful than the current PARAM 10000. We are now working on more applications. The new supercomputer which is showcased in PARAM facility, Bangalore, would be launched in the coming months," Shri. R.K. Arora, Executive Director of C-DAC said.
