The process of admission to C-DAC's Diploma course begins with Registration of prospective candidates on the C-DAC website, acts.cdac.in. Upon registering, candidates will get their form number that can be used to log in and fill the CET application form online. The form number must be remembered by the candidate as it will be the reference number and login ID of the candidate during the whole admission process. Read carefully the instructions on the C-DAC website while filling the online registration and application forms.

The candidate will get the Form No. and password in his mail id. Once candidates have completed registration, the next step is to log in and fill the CET application form. After filling the application form, candidates have to upload their passport size photograph.

The candidate needs to pay the CET examination fees of INR 600/- towards the Common Entrance Test using the payment gateway facility available using the credit card or debit card.

The steps successfully completed in the application process are shown with a tick-mark on the main menu of the online application. Candidates facing any issues during the downloading of form or any other query online registration and application may contact C-DAC ACTS, Pune, through phone (020-25503100/34/36/28/07) or e-mail (actssupport@cdac.in).

The Admit cards can be downloaded from the website from 24th May, 2019. No candidate will be permitted to appear in CET test without a valid Admit Card. The Admit Card should be presented to the invigilators/ officials for verification.

Candidates can download their admit cards by logging in on the website www.acts.cdac.in with the form no. and password sent at the mail id mentioned in the application form on the C-DAC website. After downloading the admit cards, candidates should examine all the entries therein and also carefully read and follow the instructions on the cards. In case of any discrepancy in the details provided, or if candidates are unable to download the online admit card, then they should contact C-DAC ACTS, Pune, immediately through phone (020-25503100/01/06/07) or e-mail (actssupport@cdac.in), giving their name and application form number. No candidate will be permitted to appear for CET without a valid admit card.

Candidates will not be able to download their admit cards, if their payment have not been received at C-DAC Pune before the last date of payment.

The admission to the DASDM course is through a Common Entrance Test (CET) which shall be conducted through online software. The syllabus of the CET comprises of the following:

Computing Awareness (40 questions)
Evolutions of Computers, Computer Generations, Classification of computers, Digital Electronics (Upto Number system & Gate), Primary and Secondary storage, Algorithms, Computer softwares, Operating systems (Only Basics), Data communications, Flow charts, Computer Networks, Input & output devices Fundamentals of Programming, Basics of Computer programming languages, Utility Software, Internet, Social Networking, Multimedia, Computer Security Information security etc.

Functional English (20 questions)
Mathematical Aptitude (20 questions)
Reasoning (20 questions)
Recommended Reference Books
1. Foundations of Computing - PK Sinha and Preeti Sinha (BPB)
2. GRE Barrons
3. Quantitative Aptitude R S Agrawal
4. Any English Grammar book of High School standard

The result of the CET will be published centre wise.3% seats are reserved for Maratha, Maratha- Kunbi, Kunbi and Kunbi – Maratha Caste Physically Challenged candidate from the above mentioned seats.

The selected candidates will be enrolled as C-DAC students at the C-DAC training centres. They will get a student identity number.

At the time of registration, candidates need to show their photo identity cards for identification, submit three passport-size colour photographs and photocopies of qualifying degree certificate or provisional/passing certificate from the university. The original certificates should be presented for verification at the time of registration.

Candidates who do not have their qualifying degree certificate (including students who have appeared for the qualifying examination and awaiting results) will be given provisional admission on submitting (at the admitting centre) the proof that they have already taken all the examinations for their qualifying degree at the time of registration. These students will have to submit (at the admitted centre) the proof of having passed the qualifying degree with the required minimum marks by November 30, 2019 to confirm their admission.


Important Note: Candidates, who are provisionally admitted as students but are unable to produce the proof of qualification by November 30, 2019, will have their admissions cancelled.
