Certificate course


Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Bihar in association with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Scientific Society of Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Government of India has taken a initiative for conducting PG Diploma in Advanced Computing(PG-DAC) and Certificate courses in the area of Network Security (CCNS) and Advanced Web Technology (CAWT) for the candidates from Minority communities having domicile in the State of Bihar.

Course Duration:

Course is of 6 month duration (900 hours)

Eligibility:

  • Graduate in Engineering (10+2+4 or 10+3+3 years) in IT / Computer Science / Electronics / Telecommunications / Electrical / Instrumentation, OR
  • MSc/MS (10+2+3+2 years) in Computer Science, IT, Electronics with Mathematics in 10+2, OR
  • Graduate in any discipline of Engineering, OR
  • Post Graduate Degree in Physics / Mathematics / Statistics, OR
  • MCA, MCM, OR
  • Post Graduate Degree in Management with graduation in IT / Computer Science/ Applications.
  • The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying examination.


Mandatory Requirements:
  • Domicile: Candidate shall belong to the Minority community Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsis having domicile certificate of Bihar state.
  • Family Income: The family income of the candidate should not exceed INR 4,50,000/- per annum.

    Admissions to all PG Diploma courses of C-DAC are done through C-DAC's computerised Common Admission Test (C-CAT). Candidates have to apply for C-CAT online at www.cdac.in or acts.cdac.in. Every year, C-CAT is conducted in December/January (for February/March admissions) and June/July (for August/September admissions). Candidates who clear the January 2021 C-CAT will only be considered for admission to C-DAC’s PG Diploma courses of March 2021 batch on the basis of their C-CAT ranks. Every section in C-CAT will have 50 objective-type questions. Each question will have four choices as possible answers of which only one will be correct. There will be +3 (plus three) marks for each correct answer, -1 (minus one) for each wrong answer, and 0 (zero) marks for each un-attempted question. The maximum marks a candidate can obtain in any one section of C-CAT is 150.

    C-CAT Schedule

    C-CAT for admission to the March 2021 batch of PG Diploma courses will be held on 17th January 2021.

    Schedule of Jaunary 2021 C-CAT (The slot timings may vary slightly. The final timings will be printed on the admit cards.)

    Candidates can give the online C-CAT from their homes using their laptops/PCs. C-CAT cannot be given from mobile phones. Candidates are required to switch on their webcam and microphone while appearing for C-CAT.


    Candidates can download their admit cards from website during the dates mentioned under Schedule. No candidate will be permitted to appear for C-CAT without a valid admit card. The admit card along with a photo identity proof must be presented to the C-CAT officials/invigilators for verification at the time of the test.

    The result of the C-CAT will be published in the website.

    Eligibility:

    • Graduation in Science with Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics / Mathematics / Physics / Computational Sciences with PCM in XII, or Engineering with Computer Science and Information Technology,Electronics And Telecommunication / Any Enginnering Graduate with minimum 50% in the qualifying degree.
    • Age of the candidates applying shall be from 18 to 45 years.

    • Family Income:
    • The family income of the candidate should not exceed INR 4,50,000/- per annum

    • The course syllabus is regularly updated with the latest trends in the ICT industry.
    • The expert faculty members from C-DAC and ICT industry with extensive domain knowledge shall conduct the lectures.
    • Training centre’s is well equipped with laboratory.
    • The Tutorials and hands-on sessions are relevant to the standards of the ICT industry.
    • Management Development Programme (MDP) is an integral part of the syllabus for personality development of the students.

    The admission to the course is through a Common Entrance Test (CET). The syllabus of the CET comprises of the following :

    Test duration is 60 minutes.

    The admit cards can be downloaded from the website. No candidate will be permitted to appear in CET test without a valid Admit Card. The Admit Card should be presented to the invigilators/ officials for verification.

    The result of the CET will be published course wise on the website. Students will be only eligible to take admission in the course he/she has applied at the time of filling the application form. The Candidate will be ranked based on course applied and the score he /she has secured in the CET.
