About Programme:

Department of Information Technology, Government of Bihar , Bihar Knowledge Society (BKS) and Centre for Development of Advance Computing (C-DAC) are conducting PG Diploma in Advanced Computing (PG-DAC) courses, for the candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to the state of Bihar. A total of 160 beneficiaries (80 numbers beneficiaries each at Patna and Gaya cities) shall be provided IT training under this scheme.

Information Technology department, declared as an independent entity on 1st April,2007 aiming to make Bihar a leader in IT. Dept. of Information Technology is committed to making best use of modern technology within the govt. to help improve quality of service for the ordinary man. It is also providing guidance on technical matters to departments and supporting them along the IT Road Map.

Benefits:

For PG-DAC -A total of 160 beneficiaries’ (80 numbers beneficiaries each at Patna and Gaya cities) shall be provided IT training under this scheme.
A stipend of Rs. 3,000/- per month for SC and ST candidates and Rs. 2,500/- per month for OBC candidates shall be provided to every student during the course duration.

Eligibility:

Graduate in Engineering or equivalent (e.g. BE / BTech / 4-year BSc / AMIE / DoEACC B Level, etc.) in Electronics/ Computer Science/ IT or related areas, OR
Post Graduate in Engineering Sciences (e.g. MSc in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, etc.), OR
Graduate in any discipline of Engineering or equivalent, OR
MCA, MCM, OR
Post Graduate in Physics/ Computational Sciences/ Mathematics or allied areas, OR
Post Graduate in Management with graduation degree in Science/ IT/ Computers
The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying examination.

Who Should Apply?:

Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates having domicile of state of Bihar.
Total Annual Income of the family must be less than Rs. 3.0 lakhs.
Education qualification as mentioned in Eligibility.

Note: Candidates who selected under this scheme are not eligible to apply again for any courses
