Vehicle Tracking Systems
The Vehicle Tracking System provides information on the location of vehicles and its movement on real time. The system consists of Vehicle Mount Unit (VMU), Base Station Unit (BSU) with a computer and necessary application software. Each vehicle carries VMU, which has GPS (Global Positioning System) and GSM (Global System for Mobile communication)/ GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) module and microprocessor glue logic. The BSU has GSM/GPRS module and glue logic. The VMU reports the position of the vehicle to the Base Station via a GSM network. The Plotting Software allows the user to monitor the entire fleet of vehicles and plots the position of the vehicles on the map. The information sent by the vehicle will be updated on the base station database for post analysis and report generation. The location report schedule is configurable from the base station.
