Ubi-Sense1: Sensors Module (Under Development)
The initial version of the sensors module has sensing elements to measure / sense tri-axial acceleration, smoke, temperature, relative humidity and light. Tri-axial acceleration measurement is based on LIS331DLH from ST microelectronics which has a range of ±2g to ±8g and sensitivity of 0.9 mg/digit .The device can operate from -40°C to +85°C. This device supports both SPI and I2C output interfaces. Accelerometers find application in seismic / vibration sensing, anti-lock braking system (ABS) etc. The device MC145012 from Free Scale semiconductor is photoelectric smoke detector. The device operates in the range of -55 to +125°C. Smoke detectors enable early detection and warning of fire. It gives out analog output which can be connected to ADC for further processing and control. This board has ambient light (Infrared and visible) detector sensor from TAOS. This device operates in the range of -40 to +85°C. Its gives a voltage in the form of digital output using a proprietary standard two wire communication. The sensor board has got temperature and relative humidity sensor SHT75 which has the resolution of 12 bit relative humidity and 14 bit for temperature. This device operates in the range of -40 to +123.8°C. It gives digital output following SPI serial communication standard.
Ubi-Mote1:CC2430 based Wireless Sensor Node
