C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram invites application from highly experienced and qualified professionals to be engaged in the role of Senior Consultant (Part Time) for integration and fine tuning of MR pulse sequences and reconstruction algorithms with indigenously developed MR scanner, details of which are given below.

Educational Qualification Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering
experience required.
  • 15+ years of experience in MR imaging and pulse sequence domain
  • Integration of software sub system with state of the art MR scanners
  • MR Pulse Sequence Development/In depth knowledge on MR Physics and Pulse sequences
  • Image artefact debugging
  • Development of MR pulse sequences based on 'pulseq' format
Scope of work
  • Developing and tuning MR pulse sequences to provide improvements in image quality
  • Investigating root causes of MR imaging Problems
  • Integration of MR pulse sequences and recon algorithms with MR hardware
  • Help out with all aspects of developing, building, maintaining and troubleshooting  MRI systems.
  • Design and integration of pre-scan sequences
  • Integration of software sub systems within digenously developed MR magnet
Duration of consultancy: Initially for a period of 3 months. The term of consultancy may be considered for further extension for a period as deemed fit by management but not beyond the age of 65 years of the consultant & depending upon the requirement of the project and performance of consultant.
Consultancy Fee Rs. 5000/- per day subject to a maximum of Rs. 50000/- per month.
Mode of work The Senior Consultant has to be present (offline or online) in the office for maximum of 10 days

General Terms & Conditions:

Above mentioned position is on fixed duration and against approved project.

The requirement of consultant is purely temporary in nature, on contractual basis for the above project undertaken by CDAC.

Engagement of incumbent as consultant does not confer any right to him to claim any temporary or permanent employment with CDAC.

Age of applicant: Should not be more than 64 years.

The cut-off date for ascertaining the age and experience will be Last Date of Application: i.e. 14.06.2021.


Only those experiences which are relevant and acquired after the passing date of the qualifying qualification will be considered. The decision of CDAC in this regard will be final and binding.

Applicant should have excellent academic qualifications, experience & expertise in the field.

Applicant should have performed previously at a responsible position in Research Organization or at an eminent position in the industry.

Applicant should be actively engaged in the profession currently and should have active interest in above mentioned field.

Important Notes

  • Applications are invited from Indian Nationals only.

  • In case of ambiguity/dispute arising on account of interpretation in version other than English, English version will prevail.

  • Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification for selection.

  • Interview Call Letters, other correspondences (if any) etc. will be sent to applicants only through email to the email id provided in the application. No communication in hard copy will be done by CDAC.

  • Mere issue of Interview call letter will not imply acceptance of candidature or selection as senior consultant.

  • In case of internal applicants, please note that the finally selected applicants will have to resign from the services in order to join the position of senior consultant.

Application form duly completed in all respect along with self-attested copies of academic certificates, experience certificates and age proof certificate are required to be submitted to "The Department Head (HR), Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Vellayambalam, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 033", so as to reach CDAC (T) on or before 21.06.2021, superscribing the envelope "Application for Senior Consultant IMRI".

  2. Applicant should read all the eligibility parameters and ensure that he/she is eligible for the post before applying.

  3. The candidates must paste recent passport size photograph and enclose self attested copies of certificates in proof of date of birth, educational qualifications, experience, etc.

  4. Applicant should have a valid email id and mobile no. which should remain valid & active till the completion of selection process.

  5. Fill all the details in the application form at the appropriate places.

  6. Incomplete and defectively filled up forms shall be rejected straightway and no subsequent correspondences will be entertained in this regard.

  7. Candidates presently working in a Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous Body funded by Government are required to bring a "No Objection Certificate" from their present employer at the time of interview, if called for, failing which they will not be permitted to attend the interview.
