About Certificate Course in Software Testing :

ACTS, C-DAC, Pune is pleased to launch a new program — the Certificate Course in Software Testing (CCST). This course is designed for graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Computer Applications, Engineering or Technology, as well as postgraduates in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, or Statistics.

The CCST is a 720-hour course is designed to educate and train students and equip them with the essential skills in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) of software. This CCST course provides comprehensive training to students on how to ensure that software products meet industry standards for functionality, reliability, and performance.

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier R&D organization of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for carrying out R&D in IT, Electronics and associated areas. About Advanced Computing Training School :

C-DAC set up the Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS) in 1993 to meet the ever-increasing skilled manpower requirements of the Information Communication Technologies (ICT) industry as well as supplement its intellectual resource base for cutting-edge research and development. The Academic Council (AC) of the C-DAC regulates the courses, policies, processes, rules, and guidelines related to the PG Diploma Courses. C-DAC is dual-recognition institution under the NCVET scheme, and the end-course evaluation are conducted by separate evaluation unit within the ACTS programme.

Over the years ACTS, C-DAC has designed and delivered various postgraduate, and diploma programmes. ACTS PG Diploma progammes are well-recevied, and in close to three decades of operations, these courses are sought-after by both students and companies looking for trained and deployment-ready skilled manpower.

Course Focus :

A Certificate Course in Software Testing primarily aims to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge to assess and validate software applications. This ensures that they meet the required standards for functionality, reliability, and performance. They will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard testing tools like Selenium and frameworks, understand testing methodologies and life cycles, and apply best practices for performance, and usability testing.

The candidate must have secured 60% or above in the qualifying degree. The percentage should be as per marks obtained in the university exams and to be entered as per the university norms.

* There is no age restriction for admission to C-DAC’s Certificate course. Candidates who have appeared for the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2025 and awaiting university examination results will be considered for admission to the Software Testing course. Policies / Rules of C-DAC ACTS regarding admission process, course delivery, and additional terms and conditions given in Annexure ‘D’ shall apply.
