C-DAC Noida has once again achieved re-certification at CMMI Development Level 5 (V3.0). With this milestone, it stands among the select government organizations to attain CMMI Level 5, setting a high benchmark for excellence, predictability, innovation, and quantitative management across the public sector.This accomplishment highlights the collective dedication, technical expertise, and coordinated efforts of multiple teams and stakeholders in realizing the vision of Executive Director Shri Vivek Khaneja, namely:
- Structured project execution
- Strong process compliance and continuous optimization
- Implementation of CI/CD and automation practices
- A sustained focus on innovation
The journey towards excellence took pace from April 2025 under the leadership of Quality Group CoordinatorMs. Priti Razdan & senior team members Ms. Shalu Gupta & Ms. Amrita Wadhawan.
Recognizing that high maturity requires strong institutional capability, extensive training initiatives were conducted:
- CMMI V3.0 Overview Training for 100+ Project team members, creating organization-wide awareness of the updated CMMI V3.0 model and performance-focused approach required.
- High Maturity & Quantitative Management Training for 40+ core appraisal members, focusing onStatistical Process Control.
- Review sessions were conducted at periodic intervals to monitor readiness and ensure complete compliance before final appraisal.
These initiatives significantly strengthened organizational competency and preparedness with the continuous support of Group Coordinators Shri Praveen Srivastava, Shri Rajiv Yadav, Shri P. N Barwal, Smt Savita Kashyap and Shri Anuj Jain.
The final CMMI benchmark appraisal was conducted from February12thto 23rd, 2026 by the appraisal team lead from Maverick Quality Advisory Services along with 5 internal & external Appraisal Team Members (ATMs).
During the appraisal:
- Exhaustive interviewsof around 65+ members including ProjectManagers (PM), Developers, Testers, Software Engineering Process Group(SEPG), Quality Group, Group Coordinators & Sponsor were conducted to assess implementation depth and quantitative understanding.
- Comprehensive document verification and objective evidence validation was carried out.
- PPM models, baselines, performance results, and improvement initiatives were critically examined.
- The quality team provided end-to-end coordination and support throughout the appraisal process.
The appraisal team rigorously evaluated not only documentation but also real-time implementation effectiveness and institutionalization of Practices as per the CMMI model.
Upon successful completion of the appraisal, the High Maturity Lead Appraiser (HMLA) confirmed that C-DAC Noida satisfies all requirements of CMMI Dev V3.0 – Maturity Level 5, the highest level of process maturity.The achievement of CMMI Level 5 is not merely a certification — it is a reflection of organizational maturity, resilience, and commitment to global best practices.
