ISMS TaskForce (ITF), C-DAC Pune organised the ISR & LA Meet 2026 on August7, 2026, bringing together 50+ members from various groups and departments. The meet focused on strengthening awareness and implementation of the Information Security Management System (ISMS), with discussions on security policies, controls, compliance, audit readiness and continual improvement.
Shri Sanjay Wandhekar,Centre Head reaffirmed management’s commitment to strengthening the ISMS, emphasizing effective control implementation, risk mitigation, and continual audit readiness. Shri Vinodh Kumar M,HoD, HPC I&E highlighted the importance of the ISMS journey and the need for specialized expertise,ISMSConsultant was engaged to provide ISO 27001 expertise and audit support. Shri Devendra Ozarkar, Chairman, ITF encouraged ISRs and LAs to actively support ISMS implementation and certification, outlining key milestones including document validation, internal audits in November, Stage 1 & 2 certification audits, and targeted certification by January 2027.
Sessions covered ISMS policies, mandatory documents, applicable controls, implementation requirements, audit expectations, and compliance, including:

- Asset Management, Access Control & Incident Management Policy
- Supplier Management Policy
- Physical Security Policy
- Human Resource Security Policy
- Data Protection & Endpoint Security Policy
- Secure Development Policy
- Network Operations & Security Management Policy
The programme provided ISRs and LAs with practical knowledge and guidance to effectively support and sustain ISMS implementation at the Centre.The successful completion of the ISR & LA Meet 2026 marks another important step towards strengthening a security-first culture and enhancing information security practices at the Centre.
