C-DAC Noida successfully conducted a two-week Specialised Programme on Big Data Analytics – I from June10th–23th, 2026 under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The programme brought together 17 participants from nine countries - Cambodia, Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mongolia, Sierra Leone, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and Zambiafor capacity building in advanced Big Data Analytics.
The Big Data Training Programme was designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of modern data technologies and analytics. The course began with foundational concepts of Big Data, followed by detailed sessions on Hadoop, its architecture, and the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS). Participants were also introduced to advanced tools and frameworks such as Hive, Spark, and MongoDB, enabling them to gain practical experience in large-scale data processing, storage, and analysis. Through a combination of expert-led lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on exercises, the programme enhanced participants technical skills and equipped them to address real-world data challenges effectively.
A valedictory ceremony was held on June 23rd, 2026, at C-DAC Noida to mark the completion of a successful journey of the hardwork of the participants, teachers and other staff members. All participants from different countries actively participated in this ceremony.
Shri Vivek Khaneja, Executive Director, C-DAC Noida; Shri V.K. Sharma, Scientist G & Group Coordinator, C-DAC Noida; and Shri Navneet Jain, Scientist G &Programme Coordinator, C-DAC Noida, along with other faculty members, were present during the valedictory function.
Shri Navneet Jain delivered the welcome address and briefed the gathering on the activities and highlights of the training programme.Shri Vivek Khaneja interacted with the participants and sought their feedback on the training programme.Participants expressed their appreciation for the training programme, commending the quality of the course content, expert delivery, and comprehensive coverage of the topics. They also appreciated the study visits, which provided valuable practical exposure.
The valedictory function concluded with the presentation of certificates and mementoes to all participants in recognition of their successful completion of the programme.
