Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), is a
Scientific Society under the Ministry of Electronics and
Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. C-DAC has

How to apply:

Applications should be submitted online
through CDAC website www.cdac.in. Applications through any other
mode will NOT be accepted.
-
The application portal will be operational
from 16.03.2022 00:00 Hours to 17.04.2022 till 23:59 Hours.
-
Candidates are advised to go through the
"General Terms and Conditions" thoroughly before filling the
online application form. Submission of wrong information may
lead to rejection of application.
-
Candidates themselves should get acquainted
all the eligibility parameters before applying online and ensure
that he/she is eligible for the post.
-
Candidates should have a valid email id and
mobile no. which should remain valid & active till the
completion of selection process.
-
Candidates should scan their photograph and
signature in jpeg format and keep it ready before starting to
apply online for uploading. Instructions for uploading the
photograph and signature are available on the online application
portal.
-
A unique application number will be generated
by the system, please note this application number and keep a
copy of the application form for future reference and use.
-
Candidates from Government Departments are
required to produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their
current employer at the time of certificate verification, if
called for, failing which they will not be permitted to attend
the test.
Processing fee & payment:
-
Candidates are required to pay a
non-refundable processing fee of Rs.295/- (including 18% GST) for
applying for the posts, which is to be paid by the candidates
directly to the following account number of CDAC,
Thiruvananthapuram through NEFT/Net banking/Unified Payment
Interface (UPI) or by scanning the QR code (available on the
screen at the payment page) during the online application
process at C-DAC website.

The candidates shall invariably enter the
transaction ID/UTR number of the payment at the Transaction ID/UTR
No.
column. Candidates shall be responsible to ensure the
correctness of the entry in the relevant column. Subsequent
claims for erroneous entry shall not be entertained.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category
are exempted from processing fee.

Female applicants are also exempted from
application fee.

General Terms & Conditions
Nature of appointment:
The above mentioned appointments shall be against
positions sanctioned by Governing council, in regular
vacancies available at C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram Centre
on direct recruitment basis subject to the applicable
provisions of Bye laws and other rules as applicable.
All appointment against the notified regular positions
shall be done as per Clause 18.1.2 of Byelaws of CDAC
initially on probation for a period of one year with
effect from the date of joining. If CDAC find it
necessary that more time is needed to assess the
performance, then the probation shall be extended by
CDAC at its discretion.
On successful clearance of probation, the candidate will
be employed on contract basis for duration of five
years, which shall be renewable on satisfactory
performance review for further period of five years at a
time, till attaining the age of superannuation i.e. 60
years. However, migration from contractual position to
regular position shall be considered based on clause
18.1.5.1 or 18.1.5.2 of the Byelaws.
Qualifications:
-
All the qualifications should be from
approved/ recognized universities/ deemed universities/
institutes. Courses offered by autonomous institutions should be
recognized as equivalent to the relevant courses
approved/recognized by Association of Indian universities (AIU/UGC/AICTE).
And for such autonomous institute's course(s) submission of
equivalency certificate is mandatory at the time of selection
process, the onus of which rests upon the candidate, failing
which the candidature of such candidates is liable to be
rejected.
-
Similarly, candidates with any other
equivalent qualifications, than the one notified in the
advertisement should invariably supported by an equivalency
certificate issued by the Competent Authority, failing which
applications of such candidates shall summarily be rejected
without any further notice/ communication.
-
Wherever CGPA/OGPA or letter (A, A +) grade
in a qualifying degree is awarded, equivalent percentage of
marks should be indicated in the application form as per norms
adopted by the respective University/Institute. Please also
obtain a certificate to this effect from University / Institute,
which shall be required at the time of selection process.
Reservations:
-
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWSs will be
applicable as per Govt. of India norms, as applicable to C-DAC.
-
Candidates belonging to reserved categories
should produce the original certificates at the time of
certificate verification, if called for, issued by competent
authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by DoPT
Government of India, failing which such candidates will not be
allowed to attend the selection process against reserved posts
and will not be allowed to claim the benefits of reservation.
-
In case of candidates belonging to OBC
category, certificate in the format prescribed by Government of
India which specifically contain the clause that the candidate
does not belong to creamy layer section is required to be
produced.The OBC candidates who belong to "CREAMY LAYER" are not
entitled for OBC concession and such candidates have to indicate
their category as "General".
-
The candidates applying under PwD category
are required to submit the Disability Certificate in the format
prescribed by Government of India, Department of Personnel and
Training vide OM No.36035/3/2004-Estt (Res) dated 29.12.2005 as
amended from time to time. Candidates having disability of 40%
or more only are eligible for reservation under PwD category.
-
The candidates applying under Economically
Weaker Sections (EWSs) category are required to submit Income
and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority in the
prescribed format as given in Annexure-I of DoPT OM No.
36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31st January 2019 as amended /
modified from time to time.
Relaxation / Age limit:
-
Applicants belonging to the reserved category
(SC/ST/OBC)/ PwD/ Ex-servicemen would be eligible for
relaxations according to the Government of India orders in
force.
-
Govt. employees with three year continues
service will be eligible for relaxation in age by 5 years
including other age relaxation.
-
CDAC internal candidates also will be
eligible for an age relaxation of 5 years including other age
relaxations.
-
As per GOI provisions, age relaxation up to
05 years (including all other age relaxations) is applicable for
Widows, Divorced Women and Women Judicially separated from
Husbands who are not remarried. Candidates eligible for age
relaxation under this category would be required to produce
following documentary evidence:
In case of Widow, Death Certificate of her husband together with
the Affidavit that she has not remarried since.
In case of divorced Women and Women judicially separated from
their husbands, a certified copy of the judgment/decree of the
appropriate court to prove the fact of divorce or the judicial
separation, as the case may be, with an affidavit in respect of
divorced women that they have not remarried since.
-
Age relaxation to PwD category: Age
relaxation as per Government of India instructions is allowed
(including all other age relaxation in respect of the posts
reserved for them) to blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically
handicapped persons for appointment to Below Group 'A'
posts/services. The persons claiming age relaxation under this
category would be required to produce a certificate in
prescribed proforma in support of their claims clearly
indicating that the degree of physical disability is 40% or
more. In any case, the appointment of these candidates will be
subject to their being found medically fit in accordance with
the standards of medical fitness as prescribed by the Government
for the respective posts to be filled by Direct Recruitment by
Selection.
Selection Procedure:
-
Initial screening will be based on academic
records and experience. Centre reserves the right to fix a
higher percentage of marks in the initial screening process, if
sufficient number of candidates with higher percentage of marks
are available.
-
Short listed candidates will be called for
written test followed by a skill / practical test for those
shortlisted in the written test. The exact date, time and venue
of the written test and skill/ Practical test will be intimated
separately through electronic means
Written Test Details:
-
Written test will be objective type for total
200 marks (30 marks per topic & 80 marks for domain) with
duration of 90 minutes total.
-
Candidates who scores minimum 40 % marks
(Section wise 30 % & aggregate 40 %) will only be qualified
based on merit list for selection.
-
No interview will be conducted for the above
mentioned post, however a skill / practical test with regard to
the specific domain to which selection is made /work experience
will be held for the shortlisted candidates.
-
The skill/ practical test shall be on
Fit/Unfit basis on pre-determined and notified benchmarks, and
those found unfit in the skill/ practical test shall not be
considered for further selection process.
-
For final selection written test marks will
be considered.
-
All questions carry equal mark. For each
correct answer two mark will be awarded and for each wrong
answer ½ mark will be deducted. No negative mark for unattended
questions.
-
Weightage will be given to marks obtained in
domain knowledge.
-

General Information and other
conditions:
-
All applicants must fulfill the essential
requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated above
as on the last date of online registration of applications. The
candidates before applying for the post notified above are
advised to satisfy themselves that they possess at least the
essential qualifications laid down for the post as on the last
date of online registration of the applications.
-
The prescribed essential qualifications are
the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the
candidates to be called for selection process. The duly
constituted Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria for
short-listing the candidates. The candidate should therefore,
mention in the application all the qualifications and
experiences in the relevant area, over and above the minimum
prescribed qualification, duly supported with self-attested
documents.
-
The period of experience rendered by a
candidate on part time basis, daily wages, visiting/ guest
faculty will not be counted while calculating the valid
experience for short listing the candidates for selection
process.
-
The date for determining the upper age limit,
qualifications and experience shall be the closing date
prescribed for online registration of applications.
-
Post qualification work experience will only
be considered for the posts, where experience is mandatory.
Experience obtained before acquiring the essential qualification
will not be considered.
-
CDAC reserves the right not to fill up any of
the posts, if it so desires.
Important Points to Note:
-
Canvassing in any form will be a
disqualification for selection.
-
Call letters for selection process or written
test or skill/ practical test and other correspondences (if any)
etc. will be send to candidates only through to the email id
provided in their application. No hard copy will be sent.
-
Mere issue of Call letters will not imply
acceptance of candidature.
-
In case of ambiguity/dispute arises on
account of interpretation in version other than English, English
version will prevail.
-
In case of Internal candidates, please note
that the finally selected candidates will have to resign from
the services and rejoin the post as fresh employees on
probation.
-

It is the responsibility of the candidates to
assess his/her own eligibility for the post for which he/she is
applying in accordance with the advertisement. In case, it is
found at any point of time in future, during process of
selection or even after appointment, that candidate was not
eligible as per prescribed qualification, experience etc., which
could not be found at the time of selection process due to
whatever circumstances, his/her candidature/appointment shall be
liable to be cancelled/terminated.

Candidates must be in sound health and ready
to undergo Pre-Employment Medical Examination as per C-DAC
norms.

Only shortlisted candidates will be
allowed/called for written test.
-
Candidates shortlisted in the written test
only will be called for Skill /Practical Test.
-
Candidates should produce all their original
certificates, NOC from current employer (applicable for
candidates working in Govt. /PSUs /Govt. Autonomous bodies) one
set self attested photocopies of the documents pertaining to
their age, qualifications, experience etc. along with print out
of the duly filled and submitted application form at the time of
verification before skill /practical test, failing which they
will not be allowed to attend the Skill /Practical Test.

Applications of candidates claiming SC / ST /
OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/PwD/EWS status will be considered for
relaxation, only if the duly attested copy of necessary
certificates of proof in support of their claim is produced.
-
SC/ST/PwD candidates appearing for the Skill
/Practical Test shall be eligible for reimbursement of II Class
Sleeper to and fro train fare on production of proof of journey
and subject to verification of original Caste Certificate /
Medical Certificate.
-
NO INTERIM ENQUIRY OR CORRESPONDANCE WILL BE
ENTERTAINED.
