C-DAC, Mumbai, signed an MoU with Govardhan Ecovillage (GEV) on June26th, 2026 at its office in the presence of Shri Aditya Kumar Sinha, Executive Director, C-DAC Mumbai. This MoU aims to foster collaborative research, innovation, and technology-driven solutions for sustainability, digital transformation, and societal development.
The MoU signing ceremony was graced by His Grace Gauranga Das Ji as the Chief Guest. The event was further honoured by the presence of Dr. Biplab Pattnaik, Director, Lifelinks, as the Special Guest, and Shri Praful Gami, Director, Strategic ERP & Centiloquy, along with senior officials from C-DAC Mumbai.
The MoU aims to establish a long-term strategic partnership between C-DAC Mumbai and Govardhan Ecovillage to promote collaborative research, innovation, and technology development in the areas of sustainability, rural development, and Indic Knowledge Systems. The collaboration will focus on leveraging advanced technologies such as AI, HPC, IoT, and Digital Twins to develop scalable solutions, preserve indigenous knowledge, build capacity through training and knowledge exchange, implement community-centric pilot projects, support policy development, and jointly pursue national and international research and funding opportunities for creating sustainable social, environmental, and economic impact.
Following the MoU signing, a Vichaar Manthan (Thought Leadership Session) was held, during which the dignitaries engaged in insightful deliberations on sustainability, digital transformation, and the role of advanced technologies in addressing environmental and societal challenges. Discussions focused on developing Digital Twin solutions, AI-driven decision support systems, sustainable resource management, and future collaborative research initiatives that can create measurable social and environmental impact.
Speaking on the occasion, His Grace Gauranga Das ji highlighted the importance of integrating technology with sustainable living and community welfare. Dr. Biplab Pattnaik emphasized the significance of collaborative innovation in building scalable and impactful digital ecosystems, while Shri Praful Gami highlighted the lack of trust among farmers in loading carts and the need to gradually build it through training and rewards.
Shri Peeyush Chomal, Scientist F & Program Director, Centre for Indic Wisdom &Advanced technologies (CIWA),presented the philosophy and current projects of CIWA, leading to a brief discussion with the core experts on the way forward.The event was coordinated by Ms. Sonal Kamal, OSD to ED, Mumbai.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Veena Tyagi. The ceremony also reaffirmed the shared commitment of all stakeholders to collaborate in developing technology-enabled solutions that promote environmental sustainability and rural prosperity through the application of advanced digital technologies.
