C-DAC, Noida successfully organized a two-week Programming in Python course for eighteen participants from DRDO, representing various laboratories across different locations, from July 6th to 17th,2026.
The course was designed to strengthen participants programming skills by covering Python fundamentals, data structures, functions, object-oriented programming, file handling, exception handling, database connectivity with MySQL,modules and packages and other essential concepts. along with an introduction to working with Dataparsing &RestAPIs, data formats (such as JSON and XML) and installation & version control using GitLab. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on lab sessions, coding exercises and practical assignments, participants gained valuable experience in developing efficient and maintainable Python applications.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates, recognizing the dedicated efforts of the faculty members and the continuous support provided by the organizing team. Participants were encouraged to apply the Python programming skills and knowledge acquired during the course to research, development and automation activities within their respective DRDO laboratories.
