Quantum-Safe, Blockchain-Based Tea Traceability System

In a significant development for India's agri-export sector, a landmark agreement has been formalized between C-DAC, Assam Innovation & Startup Foundation (AISF), Government of Assam, the Tea Board of India, and the Tea Research Association (TRA Tocklai).

This collaborative initiative aims to design and implement a quantum-safe, blockchain-enabled digital infrastructure dedicated to the traceability, provenance assurance, export documentation, and data security of Assam Tea, one of India's most globally recognized agricultural products.

The milestone marks a major advancement toward modernizing India's tea industry with secure, scalable, and globally trusted digital systems, reinforcing the Northeast's position as a leader in technology-driven agricultural innovation.

The agreement signing event witnessed the esteemed presence of Dr. Ravi Kota (IAS), Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, who appreciated the collaborative effort and emphasized the transformative potential of emerging technologies in strengthening Assam's tea sector.Also present at the event was Shri. Jitesh Choudhary, Centre Head, C-DAC Centre in North East, whose valuable insights contributed meaningfully to shaping the direction of this forward-looking partnership.
