The Information Security Services (ISS) Team, C-DAC Mumbai, successfully organized a workshop on "Strengthening Cybersecurity and Digital Resilience for MSME" at the World Trade Center (WTC), Mumbai, on July31st, 2026.The event was attended by Dr. C. P. Johnson, Scientist G, C-DAC Mumbai, Shri Amol Suroshe, Scientist E, C-DAC Mumbai,and Ms. Priya Pansare, Director of Trade and Investment Promotion, WTC, Mumbai.

During their addresses, the dignitaries emphasized the critical importance of strengthening cybersecurity and digital resilience for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME). They highlighted the pivotal role of MSME in driving India's economic growth and stressed that building a secure digital ecosystem is essential for achieving a resilient and future-ready economy.

Dr C.P. Johnson outlined C-DAC’s contributions to various national initiatives. The keynote technical session was delivered by Shri Amol Suroshe. His session covered the significance of cybersecurity for MSME, the essential pillars of a resilient cybersecurity framework, emerging cyber threats, and a practical roadmap for implementing effective security measures to safeguard business operations.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 120 MSME representatives, demonstrating the growing industry awareness and demand for cybersecurity guidance. The interactive session focused on enhancing cyber resilience, understanding the evolving threat landscape, and adopting practical, cost-effective cybersecurity practices tailored for MSMEs.

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, followed by a media briefing. The overwhelmingly positive response from participants reflected the increasing recognition of the need for structured cybersecurity initiatives to strengthen the MSME ecosystem and support India's digital transformation journey.
