Skill Development in New Age Media& Emerging Technologies

C-DAC, New Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC), New Delhi, on January9th, 2026, to collaborate on skill development in New Age Media and capacity building in emerging technologies.

The MoU establishes a strategic framework for cooperation aimed at joint innovation, research and development, technology adoption, and human resource capacity building. The collaboration seeks to bridge industry academia gaps by aligning advanced digital technologies with skill development initiatives, thereby enhancing employability and supporting the evolving needs of the media, entertainment, and technology sectors.

Under this partnership, C-DAC and MESC will jointly identify and work in key emerging technology domains, including but not limited to Artificial Intelligence (AI), High Performance Computing (HPC), Quantum Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber Security, Software Technologies, e-Governance, Smart Cities, and other emerging digital technologies. The collaboration will also focus on curriculum development, specialized training programmes, workshops, certifications, and knowledge sharing initiatives.

The MoU was formally signed by Shri. Jitendra Singh, Scientist G and Centre Head, C-DAC Delhi and Dr. Mohit Soni, Chief Executive Officer, Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC), New Delhi. The signing ceremony was attended by Shri. Vijay Kayat, Scientist E, ICD and Shri. Jaibheem Gaikwad, Project Manager, ICD from C-DAC Delhi, along with Ms. Pooja Arora, Chief Operating Officer, from MESC side.

This MoU marks an important step toward strengthening India’s digital and creative ecosystem by fostering collaboration between technology development institutions and sector skill councils. The partnership is expected to contribute significantly to workforce readiness, innovation-driven growth, and the adoption of advanced technologies across emerging domains.

As an initial initiative under this MoU, C-DAC Delhi will host a two-week ITEC programme on New Age Media in March 2026, to be jointly delivered in collaboration with MESC.
