Valedictory Ceremony for International Quantum Computing Cohort

C-DAC Delhi has successfully concluded its Certificate Course in Quantum Computing (CCQC), a flagship initiative under the ITEC Scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The rigorous 80-hour programme, conducted over two weeks from November 3rd to 14th, 2025, welcomed 15 nominated participants representing 15 countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Bhutan, Mexico, Mongolia, Malawi, Sri Lanka, Niger, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Tunisia, South Sudan, the Slovak Republic, and Nepal.

To acknowledge the participants' hard work and the dedication of the faculty and staff, a Valedictory Ceremony was held on November 14th, 2025, at C-DAC New Delhi. The event was graced by the presence of Shri. Jitendra Singh, Scientist G & Centre Head, C-DAC Delhi; Shri. Abhinav Dixit, Scientist G &HoD-ICD and Centre Head, C-DAC Patna; Dr. Priyanka Jain, Scientist F &HoD, Neurocognitive AI & XR Group; Shri. Vijay Kayat, Scientist E & ITEC Coordinator; and Ms. Richa Chaudhary, Course Counsellor & Faculty. Course faculty members - Dr. Aruna Gupta, Shri. Kartika Pushkarna, Shri. Krishan Sharma, and Shri. Jayesh Hire - were also present during the ceremony.

Ms. Richa Chaudhary, Course Counsellor & Faculty, welcomed all the dignitaries, faculty members, and participants. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a rendition of Saraswati Vandana. Shri. Jitendra Singh delivered the welcome address & highlighted the importance of both the Quantum Computing course and the ITEC scheme. Thereafter, Shri. Abhinav Dixitgave the opening remarks, followed by a presentation on ITEC, C-DAC, and its global footprints.

Shri. Abhinav Dixit during his address highlighted the importance of ITEC scheme of MEA under developmental assistance. He urged participants to be the goodwill ambassadors of C-DAC to propagate course being offered under ITEC in India to their colleagues, friends & relatives.

Thereafter, Dr. Priyanka Jaininteracted with the participants and shared her thoughts on the Quantum Computing course. She highlighted the importance of embracing emerging technologies and encouraged students to continue exploring the rapidly evolving field of quantum computing.

Course faculty members - Dr. Aruna Gupta, along with Shri. Kartika Pushkarna, Shri. Krishan Sharma, and Shri. Jayesh Hire - shared their wonderful experiences from the sessions and provided feedback on the participants. This was followed by the screening of a short memoir film capturing the memorable moments the participants spent during their stay at C-DAC New Delhi and across India.

During the Valedictory Ceremony, participants shared their experiences on gaining new skills in Quantum Computing, exploring Indian culture, enjoying the heritage tours to Delhi and Agra, and appreciating the hospitality and Indian cuisine. They expressed high satisfaction with the programme and showed keen interest in attending more such courses at C-DAC in the future.The ceremony concluded with the presentation of Course Completion Certificates and Mementos to all participants by Shri. Jitendra Singh and Shri. Abhinav Dixit.

During the course, participants were taken on a weekend cultural and heritage tour to Delhi and Agra.
