C-DAC Mumbai successfully organized a five-day Winter School on Quantum Technologies for FinTech Innovation under the International Symposium on Quantum Computing & Innovations (ISQCI) – Part III, held from December 15th –19th, 2025. The programme commenced with an inaugural keynote address by Shri Ravindra Barlinge, Chief Executive Officer of the IITM CDOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation under the National Quantum Mission. This was followed by insightful addresses from senior leaders Dr. Padmaja Joshi and Smt. Veena Tyagi, who highlighted C-DAC Mumbai’s strategic national role in advancing technological innovation and underscored the growing importance of quantum technologies in the FinTech domain.
Key highlights of the Winter School included:
- Expert-led technical sessions by professionals from C-DAC Mumbai, C-DAC Patna, C-DAC Bengaluru, C-DAC Pune, Delhi University and TCS Research covering topics ranging from linear algebra fundamentals to advanced quantum algorithms and their applications in finance.
- Structured hands-on training using quantum simulators and platforms, including IBM Qiskit, along with C-DAC’s indigenous platforms Qniverse and QARN.
- Participation from a diverse audience comprising students, faculty members, industry professionals, and representatives from the banking and financial services sectors.
The Winter School marks an important milestone in capacity building and the development of skilled human resources in quantum technologies for FinTech innovation. Building on this momentum, the organizers look forward to the upcoming Consultation Meet on Quantum Secure FinTech, scheduled for January 2026.
