The process of admission to C-DAC's Diploma course begins with Registration of prospective candidates on the C-DAC website, acts.cdac.in. Upon registering, candidates will get their form number that can be used to log in and fill the CET application form online. The form number must be remembered by the candidate as it will be the reference number and login ID of the candidate during the whole admission process. Read carefully the instructions on the C-DAC website while filling the online registration and application forms.

The candidate will get the Form No. and password in his mail id. Once candidates have completed registration, the next step is to log in and fill the CET application form. After filling the application form, candidates have to upload their passport size photograph.

The candidate needs to pay the CET examination fees of INR 600/- towards the Common Entrance Test using the payment gateway facility available using the credit card or debit card.

The candidates need to select the training centre for CET from the following list training centres located in Delhi, Indore, Jaipur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune and Ranchi.

Note: The study training center and CET centre shall be same for candidates so before selecting the CET centre candidates need to ensure selecting the study centre for undergoing the training.

The steps successfully completed in the application process are shown with a tick-mark on the main menu of the online application. The DASDM course highlights include such as:

Application form can be filled online from the website acts.cdac.in.

The application fees of Rs.600/- (Rupees Six Hundred only) is to be paid through online payment gateway using the credit card or debit card.

The application fees once paid shall not be refunded in any circumstances.

The admission to the DASDM course is through a Common Entrance Test (CET). The syllabus of the CET comprises of the following:

Computing Awareness (20 questions)
Evolution of computers, Computer generations, Computer organization, Primary and Secondary storage, Input-output devices, Computer software, Operating systems, Data communications and computer networking, Multimedia, Classification of computers, Algorithms, Flow charts, Fundamentals of Programming

C Programming (20 questions)
Fundamentals of C Language, Data Types, Variables, Operators and Enums , Decision Making, Loop control , Control Flow Statements, Array, Function, Pointer, Structure, Union

Functional English (20 questions)
Mathematical Aptitude (20 questions)
Reasoning (20 questions)

Project Internship

The students undergo the Project Internship of one month in different IT organizations.

Placements

The placement cell in every centre shall help the candidate in providing the Project Internship. The students have to undertake a project work in the last month of DASDM course. The placement team shall assist the students in undergoing this project work in the Companies as a internship.

We also conduct soft skill classes for the students for an overall personality development by which they improve on their communication skills, presentation skills, Aptitude, Interview techniques, group discussion skills and many other aspects of their personality. Experience during the course prepares them for a successful career thereafter.

Common Campus Placement Programme (CCPP) for students of all training centres shall be conducted in Pune region.

C-DAC Common Entrance Test (CET)

The C-DAC Common Entrance Test (CET) for the admission to Diploma in Advanced Computer Arts shall be conducted as per the given schedule on the website. The CET would be conducted manually at the centers mentioned in the application form. Candidate can undergo the examination at center after receipt of the application fees of Rs.600/- online.
The CET of three hours shall consist of test comprising of 5 questions. Each question shall carry twenty mark total of 100 marks. CET will test the visualization abilities, artistic skills and knowledge relating to communication media.

1. Exam for DACA will try to test the visualization abilities, artistic skills & knowledge relating to communication media.
2. Following type of questions will be included in the paper:

  • Visualization of story board (Series of pictures depicting a story)
  • Designing icons for communicating different concepts
  • Visualization of objects from different view points and
  • Descriptive questions (such as description of an event)
No special preparation is required for appearing for the CET. The students may bring pencils, pens and dry colour (Colour pencils or crayons only). It is not mandatory to use colours.
